Our Story
The creation of My Best Years was born from a series of life-changing experiences that reshaped my perspective on health, family, and the way we live as we age.
The first pivotal moment came when I witnessed my parents age. My mother remained active and independent well into her late 80s, able to take care of herself and live her life fully. However, my father’s journey was very different. While he passed at a similar age, the last 15 years of his life were marked by a gradual loss of mobility, strength, and independence. He went from living to merely existing, and that contrast was a wake-up call for me. I made a vow to myself that I would do everything in my power to avoid that path, and to help others do the same.
The second defining moment was the birth of my first grandchild. Holding that little one in my arms brought into sharp focus the reality that the cycle of life was beginning again. I didn’t want to be a bystander in this new chapter of life. I wanted to be active, engaged, and present in my grandchild’s world, creating memories and being a part of their life. That’s when I knew I had to prioritize my health—to be the best version of me for my family.
The third turning point came as I entered my 50s. With this new phase of life came a shift in my priorities. The constant race to climb the corporate ladder no longer seemed as important. I realized that my worth wasn’t tied to a job title or pay check. After much reflection, I made the life-altering decision to leave my well-paid, full-time corporate job and pursue something that truly mattered to me—something that would allow me to live a life of purpose, impact, and connection.
I’ve always had a deep sense of care and empathy for others, and it’s that care that drives me to do something meaningful with my time. My Best Years is more than just a website—it’s my way of empowering others, like you, to live longer, healthier lives. Because I want to be there for my grandchildren, and I want you to be there for yours, too.
I truly believe that it’s never too late to improve your health. Small, consistent changes can lead to big transformations over time. At My Best Years, we’re here to support you on that journey—so you can live your best life, for as long as possible.
